Ten years on and we still maintain that we only ever use the finest sustainable materials in the construction of our play areas, not only because they look beautiful but because they will last a lifetime and will give mother nature a helping hand.
Sustainable Wood
We mainly use different types of redwood such as Pine and Oak when building the playgrounds, they not only look fantastic but will age beautifully. Our wood comes with a 15 year guarantee but is sure to last much longer. We also source the finest rope from Chatham Dockyard. All of the wood that we use is FSC approved and sourced from UK Forests. We go out of our way to ensure that the materials we use are as local and sustainable as possible.
Wet pour safety surfacing
We are also excited that we now produce our own Wet Pour rubber surfacing in house, which means we can tailor colours to our exacting requirements. You can see examples of our Wet Pour surfacing in our gallery of recent jobs such as St Pauls C of E School. Wet Pour play surfacing in our opinion offers not only a practical surface for your play area providing a safe surface for the children to play on but also creates a fantastic visual aspect to our designs. Wet Pour is also porus which is perfect for all weather playing particually in wet weather and requires very little maintenance.
Most importantly Wet Pour allows us to incorporate and include graphics within the surfacing which can be both educational and fun. Examples of this might be to add road circuits, numbers, alphabet, hop scotch, clocks, the possibilities are endless with this fantastic material.
